Jill and I went to see The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess the day after Valentine's Day. 20 minutes before the start of the show, we realized the theatre was half empty because Audra McDonald canceled her performance. This was incredibly disappointing as we were looking forward to seeing her perform this role. Her understudy did a tremendous job in her shoes and in the end we were happy we didn't exchange our tickets. Norm Lewis was fantastic!! What a powerful voice and manly demeanor.
